Will my insurance cover anything?
The bloodwork portion is billed through your insurance and is typically fully covered — most clients pay $0 out of pocket for the labs. The Wellness Exam itself ($200) is paid out of pocket. We accept HSA, FSA, all major credit cards, and offer payment plans if needed.
How soon will I see results?
You'll have your bloodwork results in 7-10 days. You'll have a plan within 1-2 weeks of your Wellness Exam (at the Results & Plan follow-up). Most clients feel a meaningful shift in energy or symptoms within 4-6 weeks of starting their protocol. Hormone optimization typically takes 8-12 weeks for full effect.
Do I have to commit to a program after the exam?
No. The Wellness Exam stands on its own. Many clients start with just the exam and a few supplement recommendations, and come back for individual services as needed. Others go straight into membership or a program. The plan is yours — we just make sure you have one.
What if I'm already healthy and just want a baseline?
Honestly, that's one of the best reasons to come in. Sela's bloodwork is more comprehensive than what most primary care orders, and our medical team reads for optimal — not just "not sick." Many of our healthiest clients use the annual Wellness Exam as their preventative baseline.
What's the difference between this and an annual physical?
A standard annual physical runs 15 minutes and orders 19 biomarkers. Sela's Wellness Exam runs 60 minutes, orders 100+ biomarkers, and includes a follow-up to discuss the results. We do everything your primary care would do — and considerably more.
